Over the course of his career, Mark has developed a diverse background in the field of accounting while working with various CPA firms including Ernst & Young LLP. He has provided accounting, business advisory and tax services for businesses ranging from sole proprietorships to multinational companies in addition to tax services for trusts, estates and individuals. He currently focuses on forensic accounting engagements as well as servicing small to mid-size closely held companies in various industries including real estate, construction, retail, restaurants, health care and consultants. Mark is also actively involved in various nonprofit organizations.

Jeffrey R. Perlman, EA
With over 25 years of accounting and taxation experience Jeffrey began his career in private accounting where he advanced quickly to the position of Assistant Controller and then on to Controller in the manufacturing industry. Adding diversification to his resume he also assumed the position of Controller in not-for-profit organizations. Finally, in 1998 he joined the family CPA firm of Dlugash & Co. as partner where he honed his expertise in taxation. Upon the retirement of his father-in-law the firm became Dlugash & Perlman. Seeking to expand his horizons as well as to enhance client services, Jeffrey merged his firm with Colella Accounting Group in 2007.

Jeffrey primarily concentrates on tax planning and financial analysis for individuals and their related entities, including partnerships, small to mid-sized corporations and trusts. He is enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service as well as being a member of the National Society of Accountants, the National Association of Tax Professionals, and has earned the title of Accredited Tax Advisor and Accredited Tax Professional with the Accreditation Council for Accounting and Taxation.

Carol Maravolo
Carol joined the firm in November of 2008. She assists clients with both tax and accounting services in various business industries. Some examples of her experience include:

Fatmira Elezovski
Mira joined the firm in December of 2010 as an intern. She quickly proved herself to be an asset to the firm during her first tax season. Some examples of her experience include:

Mira graduated Summa Cum Laude from The College of Staten Island (CUNY) with a B.S. in Accounting. She also received the school’s Charles Pinzolo Award, which is awarded to the top accounting graduate. She is currently pursuing her CPA designation.

Frances Lauro

Frances Lauro
Frances joined the firm in October of 2007. She is responsible for the oversight and management of the firm. Some examples of her responsibilities include:

• Significant client contact
• Monitoring clerical staff
• Managing internal staff relations
• Setting up new clients in the firm's database
• Preparing and tracking client invoices
• Maintaining all financial records relating to accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll processing.
• Performing clerical/administrative functions

Prior to working at the firm, Frances worked for Citibank's, Wall Street location for 10 years from 1986-1996. As the Assistant Manager for the Letter of Credit Unit, Frances assisted management in monitoring a 20 billion dollar Reinsurance Letter of Credit Portfolio. These responsibilities involved accompanying Sales/Marketing staff to customer visits, training new staff members, and managing a Letter of Credit Database of 22,000 Exporters.

In 1993 she was promoted to Manager of Trade Systems Support. In this role she identified a new product position specifically for Standby Letters of Credit processing. Frances supported installers with Letter of Credit software installations and training. She coordinated enhancement releases with programmers and testers and controlled all the daily functions of Syndicated Deals and Reinsurance Letters of Credit.

In 1996 she accepted a new position with Union Bank of Switzerland, New York as a Manager for the International Trade Unit. As manager, she led a staff of 6 and coordinated the daily workflow for a 25 Billion dollar Letter of Credit Portfolio. In 2001, the position relocated to Stamford, Connecticut where she worked for 2 years.

Frances holds an AAS in Business Administration degree from Kingsborough Community College, Brooklyn NY.
